Bit2Me Card Review 2026: Fees, Cashback, and How It Compares

The Bit2Me Card is a Mastercard debit card from the MiCA-licensed Spanish crypto exchange Bit2Me that lets you spend crypto or euros at any Mastercard-accepting merchant, with no monthly or annual maintenance fees on either the virtual or physical version. Cardholders can earn up to 7% cashback (paid in B2M tokens) through Bit2Me's Space Center loyalty tiers, though entry-level users start considerably lower. If you are an entry-level user with €1,000 in assets, you will qualify for 0.25% cashback, capped at €7.50 per month, so the headline figure requires significant engagement with the Bit2Me ecosystem. Keep in mind that B2M token rewards fluctuate in value, meaning your actual cashback return in euros can change.

We compared the Bit2Me Card against 200+ cards on MyCardCompare, evaluating fees, cashback rates, ATM limits, and availability to help you decide whether this card fits your spending profile.

1. What Is the Bit2Me Card?

Bit2Me was founded in 2014 and is one of the oldest Spanish crypto exchanges, being the first to obtain VASP registration with the Bank of Spain in 2021. It became the first Spanish-speaking fintech authorized as a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) by the CNMV under MiCA, holding this licence since July 2025. The Bit2Me Card is one piece of the broader Bit2Me ecosystem, which includes an exchange, wallet, staking (Earn), and launchpad services.

The Bit2Me Card is a Mastercard debit card designed so you can use your cryptocurrencies and euros in day-to-day life. The card and payment account are issued and managed by PECUNIA CARDS EDE, S.L.U. (trading as Pecunpay), an Electronic Money Institution supervised by the Bank of Spain.

Physical Card vs. Virtual Card

You can get the Bit2Me Card in both physical and virtual versions. There is no cost for any Bit2Me user to request the virtual card, it is issued instantly after KYC verification and can be added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments immediately.

The physical card has a manufacturing cost of €5 for Level 4 users, €10 for Level 3 users, and €20 for Levels 2, 1, and 0. Delivery within Spain takes up to 15 business days, while delivery outside the peninsula, including the rest of Europe, can extend up to 3 weeks. If the shipment needs to be made outside Spain, there is an additional cost of €5. Both formats work on the Mastercard network, meaning you can use the card at more than 37 million merchants that accept Mastercard payments, whether they are online or physical.

2. Cashback & Rewards Program

The cashback program is where the Bit2Me Card differentiates itself from many competitors, but the rates depend heavily on your position within the Space Center loyalty system.

Base Cashback Rates

With Space Center you can get up to 7% cashback on all purchases made with Bit2Me Cards, both physical and virtual, and your Space Center level affects other costs and usage limits. Cashback is always received in B2M tokens. Note that because cashback is paid in B2M, a cryptocurrency, its fiat value fluctuates. A 2% cashback earning in B2M might be worth more or less in euros by the time you sell or spend it.

One important detail: if your Bit2Me Card is linked to the EUR wallet, 0% cashback applies. Cashback is only earned on crypto-funded transactions.

Earn Boost & Space Center Multipliers

Space Center is Bit2Me's loyalty programme, structured across 7 levels. To climb levels, users complete "missions" that typically involve buying and holding B2M tokens, verifying their account, and using the card. For example, at Level 4 with 2% cashback, paying €12 for movie tickets returns €0.24 in B2M a few minutes later.

A practical illustration: at 2% cashback, spending €500/month yields €10 in B2M. At the maximum 7% rate (Level 7), the same €500 would return €35, but it is currently not possible to reach Level 7 with the acquisition of B2M alone; other missions are necessary to achieve this level.

Cashback Redemption

You receive your cashback as soon as the transaction is definitively approved by the merchant; some transactions may remain temporarily in "held" status for a few days, after which the cashback reward is credited automatically. No cashback is generated for financial services, casinos, lotteries, or betting houses. There is also a maximum monthly cashback limit determined by your Space Center level.

3. Key Features of the Bit2Me Card

The Bit2Me Card has no maintenance fees, you can keep it active without fixed monthly or annual costs. Bit2Me informs you the moment a transaction is made with your card, providing real-time notification through the app.

Multi-Currency & Wallet Switching

You can change your wallet whenever you want to pay with the crypto of your choice. You can only link one wallet per Bit2Me Card, but you can change the linked wallet instantly and at no cost from the app or website.

At the moment of purchase, if the wallet linked is a cryptocurrency wallet, Bit2Me performs an automatic conversion of the exact amount to euros using the market exchange rate at that instant, and the merchant receives payment in euros. This means there is no need to pre-convert your crypto before spending.

App-Based Card Management

You can instantly block and unblock your card if needed. The Bit2Me app (iOS and Android) provides full card management: freeze/unfreeze with one tap, view transaction history, change linked wallets, and manage spending settings. Currently, you can have a maximum of 2 active cards, 1 physical and 1 virtual.

4. Fees & Limits

Understanding the Bit2Me Card's fee structure is essential before applying, especially for users planning to spend outside the eurozone or withdraw from ATMs frequently.

Issuance & Maintenance Fees

The issuance of the virtual card and the top-up of the balance are free for all levels. For the physical card, issuance costs range from €5 to €20 depending on Space Center level, with the highest Space Center levels getting card issuance free of cost. An additional surcharge of €5 applies for card delivery outside Spanish territory. There are no annual fees and no ongoing maintenance charges.

Transaction & Currency Conversion Fees

Transactions made in euros are completely free. SEPA payments in currencies other than euro carry a 1.75% fee, and foreign currency payments for the rest of the world are charged at 2%. If the card is linked to a cryptocurrency wallet, an instant conversion takes place when making a purchase, and this operation has a small conversion fee. The base Wallet operation fee is 0.95% of the total operation, though higher Space Center levels reduce this.

ATM Withdrawal Fees & Limits

ATM withdrawals in Spain are €0; international withdrawals within the Eurozone cost €2.50; international withdrawals outside the Eurozone cost €0.55 + 1% of the amount (minimum €0.75). The free ATM withdrawal volume is €300 per month.

ATM withdrawal limits are €3,000/day, €15,000/month, and €30,000/year.

Spending Limits

Transaction limits per user are €2,500 per transaction and per day, €20,000 per month, and €200,000 per year, with a maximum of 700 transactions per year.

5. Supported Cryptocurrencies & Currencies

With the Bit2Me Card, you can make payments at any type of merchant using various cryptocurrencies and/or euros. You can pay with dozens of currencies with your Card. At launch, the card supported 8 cryptocurrencies; these included Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), Polkadot (DOT), Tether (USDT), and Bit2Me (B2M). The list has expanded since then, Bit2Me states it is continuously adding new cryptocurrencies compatible with the card.

Fiat Currency Support

If your Bit2Me Card is linked to a Euro wallet and you pay with that balance, no transaction fee applies. Linking the card to the Euro wallet is only available to residents of the EEA. For payments in non-euro currencies, the Mastercard network exchange rate applies along with the relevant FX fee (1.75% for non-EUR SEPA, 2% outside SEPA).

Spending via stablecoins like USDT can offer a practical middle ground: the conversion to euros is more predictable than volatile assets like BTC or ETH, reducing the risk of unfavourable conversion timing.

6. Security Features

You can use your Bit2Me card with peace of mind, while the platform makes sure your assets are safe. Bit2Me layers standard card protections on top of crypto-specific safeguards.

Real-Time Controls & Instant Blocking

You can lock or disable your card whenever you want, immediately. Real-time notifications are sent via email and web whenever a transaction occurs, so any unauthorized activity is flagged promptly.

Fraud Protection & Chargeback Policy

As a Mastercard product, the Bit2Me Card benefits from Mastercard's standard fraud-protection framework. The card uses 3DS (3-D Secure) and 2FA for secure online transactions. Bit2Me may block or turn off a card for security reasons, including multiple failed PIN change attempts.

Crypto-Specific Safeguards

Bit2Me uses various security measures such as two-factor authentication, SSL encryption, and machine learning algorithms. It also offers a commercial criminal insurance plan to guard against theft of cryptocurrencies resulting from a security breach or hack. Bit2Me securely stores users' crypto in cold wallets, protected by a €150 million Ledger Insurance policy. The card balance is linked to your selected wallet in the Bit2Me ecosystem, which can be switched at any time, if the exchange were compromised, card-level spending would be separate from any exchange-level incident.

7. Compatibility & Acceptance

The Bit2Me Card runs on the Mastercard network, meaning you can use it at millions of locations worldwide, online, in-store, and even at ATMs.

Mobile Wallet Integration

The Bit2Me Card works with both Apple Pay and Google Pay, so you can make contactless payments straight from your phone or smartwatch. Apple Pay and Google Pay usage is listed among the card's free operations, with no additional charge for mobile wallet payments. Setup is straightforward: add the card via the Apple Wallet or Google Pay app directly from your device.

Online vs. In-Store Use

By linking it directly to a wallet in your Bit2Me account, the card allows you to make purchases at any establishment or online platform that accepts Mastercard. Online transactions are secured with 3DS authentication for added protection on e-commerce purchases and subscription billing.

ATM Access

Bit2Me boasts over 10,000 ATMs across Europe for cash withdrawals. When travelling abroad, the free ATM allowance of €300/month and the fee structure outlined in Section 4 apply. Look for ATMs that do not impose their own surcharge for the most cost-efficient withdrawals.

8. How to Apply & Set Up the Bit2Me Card

Getting your Bit2Me Card is quick and straightforward. Here is what you need.

Eligibility Requirements

You must have tax residency in Spain or in one of the countries belonging to the European Economic Area (EEA). The Bit2Me Card can also be used by users whose registered tax residency is in Argentina. An existing Bit2Me exchange account is required, the card is an extension of the platform. There is no stated minimum age beyond the standard 18+ requirement to open a Bit2Me account.

KYC Verification Process

To verify your account, the accepted ID document depends on the country of residence, must contain a photograph of the holder, be valid at the time of registration, and be in good condition. The validation process for new users takes approximately 24–48 hours, though Bit2Me notes this may experience delays depending on demand. Higher KYC tiers unlock greater spending limits as described in Section 4.

Bit2Me Card Application Steps

  1. Download the Bit2Me app (iOS or Android) and create an account, or log in.
  2. Go to the "Card" section, where you will see tabs for Physical and Virtual. Select your preferred format.
  3. Complete identity verification if not already done.
  4. Fund a wallet with euros or cryptocurrency to activate the card.
  5. Optionally add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Activation & First Use

Virtual cards are issued instantly once KYC is approved. For physical cards, open the Bit2Me app, go to the "Card" section, select your card, and tap "Activate". PIN setup is handled through the app.

9. Availability & Country Restrictions

Currently, only users whose registered tax residence is within the EEA (European Economic Area) or in Argentina can use the Bit2Me Card.

Bit2Me Card supports the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands, along with several French overseas territories.

Is the Bit2Me Card Available in the US?

No. The Bit2Me Card is not available in Canada or the United States. This is due to the regulatory environment in those markets. Bit2Me has not announced specific US expansion plans.

For users outside the EEA and Argentina, there are no official workarounds. Attempting to register with an address outside supported regions is not recommended.

11. Bit2Me Card vs. Competitors

No card review is complete in isolation. Here is how the Bit2Me Card stacks up against 3 notable alternatives available in Europe. You can run detailed side-by-side comparisons on MyCardCompare.

Bit2Me Card vs. Crypto.com Visa Card

The Crypto.com Visa Card offers up to 5% CRO rewards via staking or subscription cashback. It requires a monthly fiat subscription or a 12-month CRO lockup to earn rewards. Bit2Me's Space Center system uses mission-based progression rather than direct monetary staking, and its headline cashback cap of 7% is higher. However, Crypto.com offers perks like streaming service rebates and airport lounge access at upper tiers, which Bit2Me does not. Crypto.com operates on Visa rather than Mastercard.

Bit2Me Card vs. Coinbase Card

For the Coinbase Card in Europe, crypto cashback rewards are US-only; EU/UK cardholders get spending functionality without the rewards component. Foreign transactions carry a 2.49% fee. For European users, Bit2Me's cashback programme is significantly more generous than what Coinbase offers in the EEA.

Bit2Me Card vs. Nexo Card

The Nexo Card offers cashback up to 2% in NEXO or 0.5% in BTC, only on credit-mode spending at the top loyalty tier. It charges no monthly, annual, or inactivity fees, with FX at 0.2% on weekdays for EEA and UK users. Nexo's key differentiator is its credit mode, allowing you to borrow against crypto holdings rather than selling them (avoiding a taxable event). Bit2Me's card is debit-only, requiring conversion at the point of sale.

That said, the top cashback rates require meaningful participation in Space Center missions, non-EUR FX fees of 1.75%–2% can add up for frequent travellers, and the daily spending cap of €2,500 is lower than some competitors.
