I like that you can compare cards by reward type, cashback, points, miles, and the numbers actually match what the issuers publish.

FAQs

Questions, answered

A crypto card is a payment card that lets you spend cryptocurrency (usually stablecoins) at regular merchants. It converts your crypto to local currency at the point of sale, or draws from a pre-funded fiat balance, so you can pay anywhere Visa or Mastercard is accepted. Most are debit or prepaid cards and pay rewards in crypto or cashback.
A crypto debit card spends directly from your crypto or stablecoin balance. When you pay, the card converts the needed amount of crypto to the merchant's currency in real time and settles over the Visa or Mastercard network. There is no borrowing involved, so you can only spend what you already hold.
The best crypto debit card depends on how you spend. For everyday use, weigh the cashback rate against FX fees, since high rewards can be cancelled out by conversion costs. For travel, prioritise low foreign-exchange fees and ATM limits. If you mostly hold rather than spend, a no-annual-fee card matters more than headline rewards. Filter by what you value most in the comparison table above, then open any card for its full fee breakdown.
Crypto card cashback rates vary widely, from around 1% up to 20% on the highest-earning cards. The top rates are often conditional, tied to staking the issuer's token, a monthly spend cap, or a promotional period, so the headline figure is not always what you earn day to day. Check the live comparison table above for current rates, and read the conditions on each card before choosing.
Crypto cards are safe to use when issued by a regulated provider on an established network like Visa or Mastercard, which carry the same fraud protection as a standard bank card. Look for issuers with a recognised licence, such as a MiCA CASP licence in Europe, plus KYC checks and self-custodial or insured custody of funds.
Some do, some do not. Common fees include an annual or issuance fee, foreign-exchange (FX) fees, ATM withdrawal fees, and a crypto-to-fiat conversion spread. Many crypto cards have no annual fee, so the real cost difference is usually in FX and conversion fees. Compare these side by side, as they add up faster than headline rewards.
Yes. Most crypto debit cards are self-contained and do not require a traditional bank account; you fund them directly from a crypto wallet or exchange balance. You will still need to pass identity verification (KYC) to meet anti-money-laundering rules, but a bank account is generally not required.
In almost all cases, yes. Regulated card issuers are required to verify your identity under anti-money-laundering rules, so expect to share an ID document and a selfie or proof of address during sign-up. KYC protects you as well as the issuer, and the cards we rate most highly tend to make it quick. We note the KYC requirement on each card's page.
MyCardCompare is a free tool that helps you find the best deal in the card market. You can search and compare cards across crypto, debit, cashback and credit in one place at no cost, and in some cases unlock exclusive benefits available only through us. MyCardCompare will never publish misleading information about a product for financial gain, and that independence is the whole point of the site.
MyCardCompare updates card information as soon as a change is confirmed, not on a fixed schedule. We work directly with card issuers, so when fees, cashback rates or features change, we reflect it quickly rather than waiting for it to surface elsewhere. Every card also gets a full editorial review each month, and the "Updated for" date at the top of the page shows the last review. That is why readers can rely on the figures here being current.
