FAQs

Questions, answered

The Fiat24 Card is a Mastercard debit card connected to a Fiat24 Swiss payment account. Fiat24 combines a Swiss IBAN with a Web3 account structure in which the user's account identity is represented by an NFT and access is linked to a non-custodial crypto wallet.

Card purchases are paid from the available fiat balance in the Fiat24 account rather than directly transferring crypto to the merchant. Users can fund the account through bank transfers or supported crypto top-ups and then spend through Mastercard.

Fiat24 currently offers Standard, Premium and Ultimate account/card levels, with higher tiers providing larger monthly account limits and lower crypto top-up fees.

The Fiat24 Card spends the available fiat funds in the user's Fiat24 account. Fiat24 provides a Swiss IBAN and supports funding through bank transfers and supported crypto deposits, after which the card can be used through the Mastercard network.

The account itself has a Web3 design. Fiat24 uses an NFT as the account identifier and connects access to a user's crypto wallet, while the regulated payment balance and card operate through conventional financial infrastructure.

This means Fiat24 is not simply a card that sends crypto to merchants. Crypto can be used as a funding route, but card settlement occurs from the account's available funds.

Fiat24 describes its consumer card as a debit card. Card transactions are limited by the available funds in the associated Fiat24 balance rather than an unsecured revolving credit line.

The current individual pricing page lists a Standard Debit Card, Premium Debit Card and Ultimate Debit Card. Higher account levels mainly change limits and crypto top-up pricing rather than converting the product into a credit card.

Because it is balance-backed, users should make sure the relevant Fiat24 account has sufficient funds before making a purchase. A crypto holding outside the spendable account balance does not automatically create card credit.

Fiat24 currently publishes three individual levels: Standard, Premium and Ultimate. Standard can use an eight-digit account NFT for free, while shorter NFT numbers are available through F24 minting fees.

Premium uses a four-digit NFT and currently requires a 1,500 F24 mint fee. Ultimate uses a three-digit NFT and requires 15,000 F24. All three include a Swiss IBAN and a corresponding debit-card tier.

The main practical differences are monthly account limits and crypto top-up fees. Standard currently lists $100,000 per month, Premium $1 million and Ultimate $10 million.

Fiat24's current individual pricing uses tiered crypto top-up fees. Standard accounts pay 1.0%, Premium accounts pay 0.5% and Ultimate accounts pay 0.25%.

These are account funding costs rather than ordinary merchant card transaction fees. Blockchain gas or fees charged by an external wallet or exchange can also apply before the crypto reaches Fiat24.

For users who regularly convert large crypto balances into fiat for card spending, the lower Premium or Ultimate percentage can matter. However, the higher tiers require substantial F24 mint fees, so the saving should be compared with the upfront tier cost.

Yes. A Swiss IBAN is one of Fiat24's central account features and is included across its current Standard, Premium and Ultimate individual plans.

The IBAN can be used for supported bank transfers into and out of the Fiat24 payment account, subject to Fiat24's transfer and compliance rules. Since January 2025, Fiat24 says Standard individuals cannot receive ordinary third-party bank transfers except from verified platforms.

The Swiss IBAN is separate from the Web3 wallet used to access the account. Users should follow Fiat24's current deposit rules before asking another person or platform to send money to the IBAN.

Fiat24 uses a non-custodial Web3 wallet for account access, but the fiat payment account and Mastercard should not be confused with holding crypto entirely on-chain.

The user's wallet is used to control the Fiat24 account identity and interact with the service. Fiat24's account architecture uses an NFT as the account identifier, which is unusual compared with a conventional banking login.

Once crypto is converted or deposited into the regulated fiat account for card spending, those payment funds operate under Fiat24's financial-services infrastructure. Users should therefore distinguish wallet self-custody from the custody and legal treatment of fiat account balances.

Fiat24's current Payment Card Terms state that the card uses the Mastercard network. This allows eligible cardholders to make ordinary card payments at compatible Mastercard merchants.

The Mastercard layer is separate from Fiat24's blockchain-based account architecture. The account may be accessed through a crypto wallet and identified by an NFT, but the merchant receives a conventional card payment.

Normal Mastercard and merchant restrictions still apply. Card acceptance can also be affected by prohibited merchant categories, sanctions requirements and the user's available account balance.

Fiat24's current individual pricing lists monthly limits of $100,000 for Standard, $1,000,000 for Premium and $10,000,000 for Ultimate.

These are broad account-level limits and should not automatically be interpreted as a guarantee that a single card purchase can reach the same amount. Card authorisation, compliance controls and merchant limits can impose separate restrictions.

For most retail users, Standard's published monthly capacity is already substantial. Premium and Ultimate are more relevant to users who need significantly higher account throughput and are willing to pay the associated F24 mint fee.

Fiat24's current individual pricing does not advertise a universal recurring cashback percentage as a core card benefit. Its main differentiators are the Swiss IBAN, Web3 account architecture, Mastercard debit card and crypto-to-fiat funding.

Fiat24 can offer promotions or ecosystem incentives involving F24, but these should not be treated as guaranteed cashback on every card purchase unless the current card programme explicitly says so.

For card comparisons, MyCardCompare would therefore list no standard published cashback rate rather than assigning a promotional or token incentive to ordinary spending.

Fiat24 card access depends on successful Fiat24 onboarding, identity verification and residence in a supported jurisdiction. The card is part of the Fiat24 payment account rather than a standalone anonymous crypto card.

Users need a compatible Web3 wallet to interact with the account structure and must satisfy Fiat24's KYC and compliance requirements. Country restrictions can change as Fiat24's regulatory and card-partner coverage evolves.

Because the Swiss IBAN and Mastercard are regulated financial products, holding a crypto wallet or F24 token alone does not guarantee eligibility. The live Fiat24 onboarding flow should be treated as the final eligibility check.

Yes. Fiat24 operates a regulated payment account and card service, so users need to complete the required identity and compliance checks before receiving full account and card functionality.

The Web3 login model does not remove those obligations. A wallet address can provide account access, but Fiat24 still needs to identify eligible customers and apply anti-money-laundering and sanctions controls.

Users should complete verification only through Fiat24's official service. Never provide a wallet seed phrase or private key to anyone claiming that it is required for KYC; legitimate identity verification does not require handing over wallet recovery credentials.

The Fiat24 Card uses Mastercard, so it is designed for card payments at compatible Mastercard merchants subject to the card terms, merchant restrictions and local regulation.

International acceptance does not mean every transaction is free. Currency conversion, cross-border processing or third-party charges can affect the final cost depending on the currencies involved.

Users travelling with Fiat24 should check the card's current fee disclosure and available account balance before relying on it abroad. It is also sensible to carry a backup payment method because card-network authorisations can still be declined for operational or compliance reasons.

Start by connecting a supported Web3 wallet to Fiat24 and completing the account-registration and identity-verification process. Fiat24 then creates the account structure associated with the user's NFT account identifier and Swiss IBAN.

Standard users can currently obtain an eight-digit NFT account identifier for free. Premium and Ultimate require F24 mint fees for shorter account NFTs and their higher-tier benefits.

Once the payment account and card are available, fund the account through an eligible bank or crypto route and use the Mastercard against the available fiat balance. Always follow Fiat24's current deposit rules when funding the account.

Fiat24 is most interesting for users who want a Swiss payment account and Mastercard integrated with a Web3 wallet rather than a conventional banking login. The free Standard level, Swiss IBAN and $100,000 published monthly limit make the entry tier relatively accessible.

Crypto users should pay particular attention to the 1% Standard crypto top-up fee. Premium and Ultimate reduce that percentage, but their F24 mint costs are significant and only make economic sense for users who need the higher limits or fund the account heavily with crypto.

Fiat24 is less compelling if your priority is cashback, because no universal recurring card cashback rate is currently published.
