FAQs

Questions, answered

The Bit2Me Card is a Mastercard debit card linked to a Bit2Me account. It lets eligible users pay with euros or supported cryptocurrencies at merchants that accept Mastercard, both online and in stores.

The card works by linking one Bit2Me wallet to the card at a time. If you link a euro wallet, purchases are paid directly from that balance. If you link a supported crypto wallet, Bit2Me converts the required amount into euros when the transaction is processed.

Bit2Me offers both virtual and physical cards. The virtual card is free, while the physical card has an issuance cost that depends on your Space Center level. The card is part of Bit2Me's broader crypto platform, which also includes Wallet, Pro and Earn, so it is best understood as the spending layer for assets already held within the Bit2Me ecosystem.

Yes. Bitcoinforme, the company behind Bit2Me, is authorised by Spain's Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores, or CNMV, as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, MiCA. Bit2Me's legal documentation states that the authorisation was granted by resolution dated 28 July 2025.

That authorisation covers Bit2Me's regulated crypto-asset services and allows the company to operate under the MiCA framework in the European Union. It does not mean every product offered through Bit2Me is regulated in exactly the same way.

The Bit2Me Card itself also relies on separate payment infrastructure. The card is issued by Pecunia Cards EDE, SLU, and users accept Pecunia's payment-service terms when applying. This distinction matters because crypto custody and exchange regulation sit with Bit2Me, while card issuance and payment-service obligations involve the card provider.

The Bit2Me Card is issued through Pecunia Cards EDE, SLU, also known through the Pecunpay brand, while Bit2Me provides the crypto account, wallet integration and user-facing experience.

Bit2Me's legal terms describe the card as a Mastercard issued by Pecunia Cards. When users request the virtual or physical card, they are required to read and accept Pecunia's payment-service terms.

This division of responsibilities is important when assessing the product. Bit2Me is the crypto-asset service provider and manages the exchange between supported crypto balances and euros, while Pecunia provides the regulated card and payment layer. For problems such as a lost physical card, Bit2Me specifically instructs users to pause it in the app and also contact Pecunia Cards. The distinction helps users know which provider is responsible for a card payment issue versus a crypto-account issue.

You choose a Bit2Me wallet to link to the card. If the selected wallet contains euros, the card uses that euro balance directly. If you link a supported cryptocurrency wallet, Bit2Me converts the crypto needed for the purchase into euros so the Mastercard transaction can be settled.

Only one wallet can be linked to each card at a time, but Bit2Me lets you change the linked wallet instantly and without a separate switching fee. The physical and virtual cards can each be configured from the Card section of the app or website.

This gives users control over which asset funds the next purchase rather than automatically selling whichever crypto happens to be available. It also means the card does not make every crypto in your account directly spendable without conversion. If you use a crypto wallet, the current card fee schedule applies a 0.95% transaction cost to the crypto-linked payment.

Yes. Bit2Me's current card interface allows users to choose eligible balances from either Wallet or Earn as the payment source. When selecting Earn, the app shows the supported wallets where you currently hold funds.

This means some users can spend from assets held within the Bit2Me ecosystem without first manually moving the balance back into the standard Wallet. The card still needs one linked payment source at a time, and the card transaction follows the rules and conversion costs that apply to the selected asset.

The feature is useful for users who already use Bit2Me Earn and want a shorter route from their balance to everyday spending. It should not be interpreted as meaning every Earn asset is automatically card-compatible. The available options shown in the Card wallet selector are the best guide to what can currently be used, because supported assets can change over time.

The Bit2Me Card currently offers between 0% and 7% cashback depending on your Space Center level. Level 0 earns 0%, Level 1 earns 0.25%, Level 2 earns 0.5%, Level 3 earns 1%, Level 4 earns 2%, Level 5 earns 3%, Level 6 earns 5% and Level 7 earns 7%.

Cashback is paid in B2M, Bit2Me's ecosystem token. The monthly reward cap also depends on your level, ranging from €7.50 at Level 1 up to €300 at Level 7 under the current limits.

There are important exclusions. Bit2Me states that payments linked to the euro wallet earn 0% cashback, and purchases involving financial services, casinos, lotteries and betting do not qualify. This means the headline 7% is not a universal base rate. Users should compare their actual Space Center level and monthly cap before valuing the rewards.

The virtual Bit2Me Card has no issuance or monthly maintenance fee. The physical card currently costs €20 for Space Center Levels 0 to 2, €10 at Level 3, €5 at Level 4 and €0 at Levels 5 to 7, with an additional €5 shipping surcharge for addresses outside Spain.

Euro-linked card transactions cost 0%. Crypto-linked card transactions currently carry a 0.95% transaction fee because the crypto is converted for payment. Eurozone purchases cost 0%, while SEPA-zone payments in currencies other than euros are listed at 1.75% and payments in other world currencies at 2%.

ATM pricing also varies by location. Domestic withdrawals are listed at €0 from Bit2Me, international Eurozone ATM withdrawals at €2.50, and withdrawals outside the Eurozone at €0.55 plus 1%, subject to a €0.75 minimum. ATM operators may charge additional fees.

Bit2Me's current card limits depend partly on Space Center level. The maximum single and daily transaction limit reaches €2,500 at higher levels, while lower levels can have smaller limits. The published maximum monthly transaction volume is €20,000 and the maximum annual volume is €200,000 at the highest tiers.

The card also limits transaction frequency. Bit2Me lists up to 20 card transactions per day, 200 per month and 700 per year under the current general limits.

These limits apply per user across the physical and virtual cards rather than giving each card a separate full allowance. Users can hold a maximum of one physical and one virtual card. If you expect to make large purchases, check your Space Center level and the live card dashboard first, because your actual transaction ceiling may be below the headline €2,500 limit.

Yes, but ATM withdrawals require the physical Bit2Me Card. The virtual card cannot be used for ordinary cash withdrawals at an ATM.

Bit2Me currently lists a €300 daily ATM withdrawal limit, up to €3,000 per month and €30,000 per year, with a maximum of five ATM withdrawals per day, 50 per month and 150 per year. The card's own ATM fee depends on location: domestic withdrawals are listed at €0, international Eurozone withdrawals at €2.50, and withdrawals outside the Eurozone at €0.55 plus 1%, with a €0.75 minimum.

The ATM owner can charge its own surcharge on top of Bit2Me's fee. If an ATM offers to convert the withdrawal into another currency, compare that rate carefully because dynamic currency conversion is controlled by the ATM operator rather than Bit2Me.

Yes. Bit2Me officially supports both Apple Pay and Google Wallet for the Bit2Me Card, and its current fee schedule lists both services at no additional Bit2Me charge.

You can add the card directly from the Bit2Me app or manually through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Bit2Me uses SMS verification during the enrolment process, and both the physical and virtual card details can be used where the relevant wallet supports them.

Mobile-wallet payments use the same linked Bit2Me wallet and card rules as ordinary card payments. Adding the card to Apple Pay or Google Wallet does not remove crypto conversion costs or foreign-currency fees. If your phone is lost or stolen, Bit2Me advises contacting support immediately so the card can be blocked. You can also pause the card from the Bit2Me app or website.

The Bit2Me Card is currently available to verified Bit2Me users whose registered tax residence is in a supported European Economic Area country. Bit2Me's current eligibility list includes EEA markets such as Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands and the Nordic EEA countries.

Physical-card availability is narrower in some markets. Bit2Me warns that users in certain EEA countries may only have access to the virtual card even when the overall Bit2Me Card service is available.

Applicants must complete Bit2Me identity verification. Spanish nationals specifically need their account verified with a DNI to request the card, or they may need to contact support if they registered using another document. Because tax residence matters, being a citizen of an eligible country is not enough on its own. Check the live country list before applying or paying for physical-card delivery.

Yes. Once issued, the Bit2Me Card can be used at Mastercard merchants worldwide, including online and physical stores, subject to the normal restrictions of the card network and issuer.

International use can be more expensive than euro spending. Bit2Me currently lists euro-area payments at 0%, payments in non-euro currencies within the SEPA area at 1.75% and payments in other world currencies at 2%. Its country-availability guide also warns that payments outside the EEA may incur Mastercard-related charges.

This means the card is usable for travel, but it is not a universal zero-FX card. Before using it abroad, check whether you are funding purchases from euros or crypto, because a crypto-linked payment also carries the current 0.95% conversion transaction fee. Carrying a backup payment method is sensible for travel because merchant and network restrictions can still cause individual declines.

Bit2Me currently allows each user to have a maximum of two active cards: one physical Bit2Me Card and one virtual Bit2Me Card. The spending and cashback limits are generally calculated per user across both cards rather than giving each card a completely separate allowance.

Each card can be linked to one Bit2Me wallet at a time. You can change the linked wallet whenever needed, so the physical and virtual cards can be configured around different spending preferences within the same account.

The virtual card has no issuance fee. If it remains unused for three months, Bit2Me says the virtual-card service can be automatically cancelled, but the user can request a new virtual card later without an additional issuance cost. This makes the second card useful for online spending even if you also keep the physical card for stores and ATM withdrawals.

Create and verify a Bit2Me account, then open the Card section from the app or website. Eligible users can request a virtual card directly, while the physical card requires a euro balance sufficient to cover the issuance fee for your Space Center level.

For the physical card, select the Physical tab, confirm the delivery address, accept Pecunia's payment-service terms and pay the applicable issuance cost. Bit2Me currently estimates delivery at around 14 business days for mainland Spain and up to three weeks for the rest of Europe.

The virtual card is simpler. Select the Virtual tab, accept the required terms and the card can be created without an issuance fee. Before applying, confirm that your tax residence is supported and that a physical card is available in your particular EEA country, because some eligible markets currently offer only the virtual version.

For Bit2Me Card help, start with the official Bit2Me Support Centre at https://support.bit2me.com. You can open a support ticket from the Help Centre or contact Bit2Me using the support email published in its card documentation, soporte@bit2me.com.

For some card-specific problems, the underlying card provider may also be involved. For example, Bit2Me instructs users who lose a physical card to pause it immediately in Bit2Me and contact Pecunia Cards at +34 900 264 741 or servicioatencioncliente@pecuniacards.es.

If the issue concerns a declined purchase, cashback or linked wallet, provide the transaction details and your registered account information without sharing passwords or security codes. Bit2Me uses SMS codes and a separate secret code for card security, and legitimate support should not need you to disclose those credentials in an unsolicited message.
