Avici Signature Card card

Avici Signature is the upper tier of Avici's secured Visa credit card, backed by crypto you hold in self-custody. It waives every ATM charge, carries Visa Signature travel benefits, and applies no transaction fees or currency markup. The catch: $30 for the first year and $20 annually after, plus $75 for the physical card, and Europe is not covered.

FAQs

Questions, answered

The Avici Signature Card is Avici's premium Visa card tier, available in virtual and physical form. It uses the same on-chain secured credit system as Avici Platinum, but adds Visa Signature benefits and different card, ATM and subscription pricing.

Avici connects the card to a decentralised self-custodial wallet rather than a conventional bank current account. Its card terms currently state 0% APR and 0% interest on purchases, although Avici reserves the right to change pricing for future transactions with advance disclosure.

Signature is aimed at users who want the Avici spending model plus premium Visa benefits, particularly travel-related perks that vary by region. It costs more than Platinum and has recurring fees, so it makes most sense for users who value the added benefits or expect to use features such as its lower Avici ATM pricing.

Avici describes Signature as a secured credit card, not a conventional debit card. Spending is connected to Avici's on-chain credit system and supported by assets in the user's account rather than an unsecured bank credit line.

Avici's current card terms state a 0% APR and 0% interest on purchases. The company also says it may introduce interest for future purchases with prior notice, so users should treat the live card terms as authoritative rather than assuming 0% is permanent.

The secured structure is important when comparing Avici with ordinary crypto debit cards. Users need to understand how collateral, credit creation, settlement and repayment interact with the self-custodial wallet. The Signature name refers to the Visa tier and its additional benefits, not to a different underlying unsecured credit model.

Avici positions its card around a self-custodial wallet model. The card terms state that the Avici Card connects to a decentralised self-custodial wallet created on blockchain, while Avici uses account abstraction and passkeys to make wallet access easier for mainstream users.

That differs from a centralised exchange card where the provider holds the crypto balance used for spending. With Avici, the on-chain wallet remains central to the product's design.

Self-custody does not mean the entire card transaction happens on-chain. Visa, the issuer and other payment partners are still involved when a merchant payment is processed. Users should also understand their passkey and recovery setup before depositing significant funds. The custody model gives greater direct control over underlying assets, but it also makes wallet security and recovery an important part of using the card safely.

Avici currently charges $30 for a Signature virtual card for the first year and $20 per year thereafter. The physical Signature card has a $100 one-time basic card fee plus a $50 annual subscription.

Shipping is separate for physical cards. Avici lists free untracked delivery at roughly three to four weeks, priority US delivery at $15 and priority international delivery at $50, with priority delivery typically listed at around one to two weeks.

These costs are materially higher than Avici Platinum, so Signature should be evaluated as a premium tier rather than simply a more expensive card design. The additional cost buys access to Visa Signature benefits and more favourable Avici ATM pricing. Before ordering, compare the benefits available in your region with the annual fee, because Visa Signature perks can differ by country and partner.

Avici's current pricing lists a $0 card transaction fee and 0% Avici foreign-exchange markup for Signature purchases. It also lists no low-authorisation fee and no ordinary declined purchase fee outside ATM-specific cases.

A 0% Avici FX markup does not guarantee that every international transaction is completely free. Avici notes that Visa can apply a cross-border charge of roughly 0.4% to 1% for non-USD transactions, and its legal terms also disclose possible network-level foreign-purchase charges.

For travellers, the practical distinction is between Avici's own markup and costs imposed elsewhere in the card network. Signature can still be competitively priced for international spending, but users should check the final transaction amount and current card disclosure rather than assuming that 0% FX means no third-party conversion cost under any circumstances.

The main difference between Avici Signature and Platinum is access to Visa Signature benefits. Avici highlights travel-related perks such as hotel benefits, travel services and other Visa offers, although the exact package depends on the cardholder's region and Visa programme availability.

Signature also has more favourable Avici ATM pricing. Avici currently lists no Avici ATM withdrawal fee for Signature, while Platinum charges $1 plus 0.65% per withdrawal. Signature cardholders still need to consider ATM operator charges and network costs.

Avici does not publish a simple universal cashback percentage for Signature in the way some crypto cards advertise recurring purchase rewards. Its value proposition is therefore more about premium Visa benefits, the self-custodial secured credit model and transaction pricing. Check the Visa benefit portal applicable to your card before paying the recurring Signature fee primarily for travel perks.

Yes. Physical Avici Signature cards support ATM withdrawals, and Avici also says virtual cards can work at NFC-enabled ATMs after a PIN has been set in the app.

Signature currently has a $500 daily ATM withdrawal limit and a maximum of three ATM transactions per day. Avici lists a $0 withdrawal fee for the Signature tier, compared with $1 plus 0.65% for Platinum. A declined ATM transaction or balance inquiry currently costs $0.60.

The ATM operator can still add its own surcharge, and currency conversion can create additional costs. This means $0 from Avici should not be interpreted as a guarantee of a completely free withdrawal. For frequent cash users, however, the higher limit and lower Avici fee are meaningful differences between Signature and Platinum.

Avici says there is no universal point-of-sale transaction limit on the number or value of card purchases. Users can also create their own spending limits for individual cards inside card settings.

All virtual and physical cards on the same Avici account share the same underlying spending balance, so adding extra cards does not multiply the amount available. Practical spending power also depends on the credit created and the assets supporting the account.

ATM transactions have separate limits. Signature currently allows up to $500 in ATM withdrawals per day and no more than three ATM transactions daily. Users planning a particularly large card purchase should still check the available spending balance and any merchant authorisation requirements, because a lack of a published universal card ceiling does not guarantee that every merchant transaction will be approved.

Yes. Avici documents support for both Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cardholders can add the card number, expiry date and CVV to the relevant wallet and complete verification using a one-time code sent to their registered phone number or email.

There is no additional Avici fee for paying through Apple Pay or Google Pay. Mobile-wallet transactions use the same underlying card balance, pricing and spending controls as the card itself.

This is particularly useful while waiting for a physical Signature card. Avici says card details can become available before physical delivery in many cases, allowing the user to begin making online or mobile-wallet payments. Wallet support can depend on device and region, so cardholders should follow Avici's current setup instructions if enrolment is unavailable.

Yes. Avici offers Signature in both virtual and physical form. The physical Signature card currently has a $100 one-time basic card fee and a $50 annual subscription.

Avici lists free untracked delivery, usually around three to four weeks. Priority delivery costs $15 within the United States or $50 internationally and is listed at roughly one to two weeks. Card details may become available before the physical card arrives, allowing online or mobile-wallet use in the meantime.

The physical card supports normal Visa payment methods such as chip, contactless and swipe where available, as well as ATM access. Avici currently describes its physical cards as white polyvinyl plastic and has separately discussed metal cards, so users wanting a metal premium card should not assume the standard Signature card is metal.

Avici allows users to create multiple virtual cards and does not publish a fixed maximum. Each Signature virtual card is subject to the current Signature pricing, including the applicable first-year and recurring fee structure.

Cards can be labelled individually and assigned their own spending limits, which makes multiple cards useful for separating subscriptions, online shopping, travel or other categories. All cards still draw from the same overall spending balance.

The ability to create multiple credentials can also help with security. If one virtual card is compromised, it can be managed without necessarily replacing every payment credential attached to the account. Because Signature has recurring pricing, however, users should check the cost before creating several cards simply for organisation. Platinum may be cheaper if the extra Visa Signature benefits are unnecessary.

Avici says its cards can be used at more than 100 million merchants worldwide wherever an international Visa card is accepted, subject to merchant, network and regional restrictions.

Virtual Signature cards can be used online and through Apple Pay or Google Pay. Physical cards add chip, contactless and swipe payments plus ATM access. International spending does not carry an Avici FX markup under the current fee schedule, although Visa may apply network-level cross-border charges for non-USD transactions.

Global merchant acceptance is different from onboarding eligibility. Avici maintains regional restrictions, so a card can be usable in a country where new residents cannot necessarily apply. Travellers should also carry a backup payment method because merchant category restrictions, offline terminals or network controls can affect individual transactions even when Visa is widely accepted.

Open the Cards section in Avici, select Add Cards and choose the Signature tier. For a virtual card, review the Signature pricing and complete the purchase inside the app. Avici currently supports card purchases using USDC on supported EVM Layer 2 networks and Solana.

For a physical Signature card, choose the physical option, enter your postcode and delivery address, select the available shipping method and complete payment. Card details can become available before the plastic arrives.

Avici also supports promotional or referral codes where applicable. Because the purchase involves crypto and wallet approvals, use only the official Avici app or website and verify the transaction before signing it. Supported chains, delivery markets and exact charges can change, so the checkout screen should be treated as the final source for your account.

Avici says card refunds are processed automatically and generally appear within up to five business days, although merchant and payment-network processing can sometimes take longer.

If a refund is delayed, Avici recommends asking the merchant for the Retrieval Reference Number, or RRN. That reference can help Avici support trace the transaction with its card partners.

One important restriction is that refunded card money cannot be withdrawn back to the wallet. Avici states that a refund returned to the card balance can only be spent. This matters for large purchases because returning an item may restore card spending power without restoring freely withdrawable crypto. Users making expensive refundable purchases should understand this limitation before deciding how much of their balance to commit through the card.

Signature is Avici's premium tier, while Platinum is the lower-cost basic card. Both use Avici's self-custodial secured credit system and are available in virtual and physical form, but their pricing and benefits differ substantially.

Platinum gives new customers a first virtual card for free, with additional virtual cards costing $10 one-time. Signature currently costs $30 for the first year and $20 annually thereafter for a virtual card. Physical Signature also has higher issuance and recurring costs.

In return, Signature includes Visa Signature benefits and more favourable Avici ATM pricing. Signature currently has no Avici ATM withdrawal fee and a $500 daily ATM limit, while Platinum charges $1 plus 0.65% and has a $250 daily limit. Users who mainly want basic card access may prefer Platinum, while frequent travellers may get more value from Signature.
