The Crypto.com Obsidian Card is the highest tier of Crypto.com's prepaid card programme. It is a metal Visa card associated with the Level Up Private plan and is designed for users who commit a very large amount of CRO to the programme.

Under Crypto.com's current European structure, Obsidian requires a 12-month CRO stake of €450,000. In USD-denominated markets, the corresponding headline threshold is $500,000. The card itself is prepaid, so purchases are made from money already loaded onto the card rather than from a revolving credit balance.

The number of CRO tokens required is not fixed because the qualification amount is measured by fiat value when the lockup or stake is established. If CRO's market price changes, the number of tokens needed for a new qualification changes as well.

Rewards are normally paid in CRO shortly after an eligible transaction. Crypto.com excludes certain merchant categories and transaction types, so 5% should not be interpreted as applying to every movement of money through the card.

Obsidian qualifies for Crypto.com's Level Up Private Priority Pass benefit. Private users currently receive unlimited personal visits to more than 1,700 participating airport lounges and travel experiences.

For EU, UK and LATAM users, complimentary access for one guest remains available until 30 September 2026. From 1 October 2026, the benefit changes to unlimited access for the cardholder only, while guests can still be brought in by paying the applicable Priority Pass fee. In most other markets, that guest change takes effect on 1 September 2026.

For European residents, Crypto.com currently charges 1% for debit or credit card top-ups, 2% on ATM withdrawals above the free monthly allowance, €50 for replacement and €50 to close the card account. An inactivity fee applies after 12 months without cardholder-initiated financial activity.

Obsidian currently has no Crypto.com foreign transaction fee in the European and US fee schedules. ATM operators and external payment networks can still impose their own charges. Users should use the fee table for their country because amounts differ by market.

Limits depend on the country where the card is issued. For European residents, Crypto.com currently lists a €25,000 daily and monthly point-of-sale purchase limit, a €250,000 yearly purchase limit and a maximum card balance of €25,000.

The European Obsidian card has a €1,000 monthly free ATM allowance. The overall ATM withdrawal limit is €2,000 per day and €10,000 per month, with up to three ATM withdrawals per day and 30 per month. Amounts above the free monthly ATM allowance carry a 2% Crypto.com fee.

US and other regional programmes use different figures, so users should always check the country-specific fee-and-limit page rather than applying European limits globally.

The Obsidian card is prepaid, so the merchant transaction is funded from the fiat balance loaded onto the card. Crypto.com lets users top up that balance with supported cryptocurrencies, which are converted into the card's fiat currency before spending.

Crypto.com currently supports more than 100 cryptocurrencies for card funding in some markets, including assets such as BTC and ETH. The exact top-up list is shown in the Card section of the app.

Crypto.com also offers Auto Top-Up, which can automatically convert a selected cryptocurrency when the card balance falls below a chosen threshold. The merchant still receives an ordinary Visa payment rather than cryptocurrency.
