FAQs

Questions, answered

The Slash Platinum Card is a Visa corporate charge card for eligible businesses using Slash. It is issued by Column N.A., Member FDIC, and is designed for company spending rather than personal consumer use.

Unlike a conventional credit card, Slash normally settles card balances automatically from the company's Slash cash account at the end of each business day. That means businesses do not carry a revolving balance or pay purchase interest under the standard charge-card model.

Slash also offers unlimited virtual cards, physical cards and eligible metal cards, with business controls for employees, merchants, categories and spending limits. Crypto and stablecoin services exist elsewhere in Slash, but the standard U.S. Platinum Card should not be described as a card that directly spends Bitcoin or other crypto at checkout.

The standard Slash Platinum Card is a corporate charge card. It does not work like a normal debit card, and it does not let the business carry a revolving credit balance from month to month.

Slash calculates the card's outstanding settled transactions and automatically moves money from the linked Slash cash account to repay the balance at the end of each business day. Because the balance is repaid daily, Slash describes the card as having no purchase interest under this model.

Available spending is still subject to a credit limit. Slash determines a maximum limit based on the business profile and risk assessment, while actual available credit can also be constrained by how much money the company keeps on deposit.

Not through the standard U.S. Slash Platinum Card. That card spends against the business's Slash cash account and is repaid through the normal daily charge-card process.

Slash does offer separate crypto and stablecoin services. Eligible U.S. businesses can apply for Slash Crypto to hold, send and receive assets such as USDC and USDT, while eligible non-U.S. companies can use the Global USD Account and apply separately for Rain-powered Global USD cards that draw from a USDSL balance.

Those products should not be confused with the standard Slash Platinum Card. If your goal is direct stablecoin-funded card spending, verify whether your account is using the Global USD card programme rather than assuming every Slash Platinum Card automatically spends crypto.

Slash currently advertises up to 1.5% cashback for businesses on the Free plan and up to 2% for Slash Pro members on eligible card purchases. Slash says there is no standard cap on how much cashback can be earned and available cashback does not expire while the account remains eligible.

Cashback is normally made available on the 25th of the following month. Some transactions do not qualify, including foreign-currency or non-U.S. merchant purchases and purchases from certain restricted merchants.

Slash can also offer custom cashback rates to some businesses based on volume or account usage. The rate shown in the Slash dashboard is therefore the most accurate figure for a specific company.

Slash currently offers a Free business plan at $0 per month and a Pro plan starting at $25 per month. Both include corporate card functionality and unlimited virtual cards, while Pro adds lower or waived fees on several banking and payment features and can offer the higher standard cashback rate.

Physical card costs are separate from the subscription. Slash's current pricing page lists standard physical cards at $5, while the latest metal-card Help Centre article lists a $20 metal card fee plus shipping. Some high-balance accounts can receive metal-card fee waivers.

Pricing can vary by account configuration and card programme, so the amount shown in the Slash dashboard at the time of ordering is the final figure to check.

Slash currently lists a 1% foreign transaction fee with a minimum charge of $0.40 for standard U.S. business card purchases. Physical Slash Cards can be used internationally wherever Visa is accepted, subject to normal merchant and compliance restrictions.

Foreign transactions are also excluded from Slash's standard cashback programme, so international spending can both incur the card fee and earn no cashback.

Slash operates other international card programmes through Global USD, and those can have different terms. If your company uses a Global USD card rather than the U.S. Platinum Card, check that programme's live fee disclosure instead of applying the U.S. 1% figure automatically.

Slash assigns each business a maximum card credit limit based on factors such as the company profile, risk assessment, account activity and deposit history. The business's actual available spending can be lower because Slash also considers the cash held in the account.

For example, if Slash sets a $100,000 maximum limit but the business has only $50,000 available to support card repayment, practical spending capacity can be limited to the lower amount. Outstanding card transactions also reduce available credit until daily repayment settles.

Businesses can view the current limit in Accounts > Credit Account. Slash reviews limits over time, but the published Help Centre says companies cannot simply set their own higher master credit limit.

Yes. Slash allows businesses to create unlimited virtual cards and assign cards to employees, vendors, teams, projects or specific spending purposes. Physical cards can also be ordered for team members.

Admins can apply detailed controls to individual cards or groups of cards. These include minimum or maximum transaction sizes, daily or monthly utilisation limits, merchant allowlists or blocklists, merchant-category restrictions, MCC controls and allowed countries.

This is one of Slash's strongest differentiators compared with consumer crypto cards. It is built primarily as a business spend-management product, so the card system is designed around controlling many cards from one company dashboard rather than giving one individual a single personal spending card.

Yes. Slash says eligible virtual cards can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay for contactless purchases. Virtual cards can be created instantly from the dashboard, so a business can begin using a mobile wallet without waiting for a physical card.

Physical cards are also contactless-enabled and can be managed from the same Slash card controls. Mobile-wallet payments still use the same card credit limit, cashback rules, merchant restrictions and foreign-transaction pricing as the underlying Slash card.

Availability can depend on the device, cardholder and card programme, so the option shown inside the Slash account is the best confirmation for a particular card.

Yes. Slash offers standard physical Visa cards and, for eligible accounts, premium metal cards. The physical cards support chip, contactless payments and PIN use and can be assigned to individual team members.

Slash's latest metal-card guidance lists a $20 card fee plus shipping. Eligible businesses that maintain at least $100,000 with Slash can have the metal-card fee automatically waived for up to 20 metal cards, subject to the account meeting Slash's criteria.

Standard physical card pricing and available designs are shown in the order flow. Some accounts may see plastic, silver, gold or metal options depending on programme eligibility.

Slash is a business product, not a personal consumer card. The standard U.S. Slash platform is available to eligible U.S.-incorporated entities, including qualifying U.S. companies whose owners may live abroad. Slash currently says it does not support consumers or sole proprietorships.

Applicants must be at least 18 and the business, owners and use case must pass Slash and its financial partners' verification and compliance checks. Certain industries, jurisdictions and business models are restricted or require additional review.

Non-U.S. incorporated companies can instead apply for the separate Global USD Account if their country and business are supported. Global USD card access requires another approval after the account itself is opened.

Eligible deposits in Slash U.S. business checking accounts can receive FDIC insurance through Column N.A., Member FDIC, and Column's sweep programme network banks, subject to the programme's terms and pass-through insurance requirements.

Slash itself is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured bank. FDIC protection applies to eligible fiat deposits held through insured banking partners and protects against the failure of an insured depository institution.

It does not automatically insure digital assets, stablecoins or investment products offered through separate Slash services. This distinction is important because Slash combines banking, cards, stablecoin services and treasury features inside one platform, but each can have a different legal and protection structure.

The standard Slash Platinum Card is the corporate charge card attached to Slash's U.S. business banking platform and is issued by Column N.A. Its balance is repaid through the business's Slash cash account.

Slash Global USD cards are a separate programme for eligible non-U.S. companies using the Global USD Account. Those virtual cards are Rain-powered, require separate card access approval and draw from the company's USDSL balance.

This distinction matters on a crypto-card comparison site. The Global USD card is much closer to a stablecoin-linked international card, while the U.S. Platinum Card is fundamentally a business charge card. Users should confirm which Slash programme they are comparing before applying fees, custody claims or eligibility rules.

Start by applying for a Slash business account and providing the required company, ownership and identity information. Once the business is approved, virtual cards can be created immediately from the Cards section of the dashboard.

For a physical card, open Cards, choose Add and select the physical-card option. Enter the cardholder's legal name, configure the account and spending controls, choose the available design and shipping method, then activate the card after it arrives.

Slash approval is based on the business and its use case, so opening an account is not guaranteed. Non-U.S. companies should follow the Global USD application route instead of the standard U.S. business banking flow.

For card, account or transaction problems, use the official Slash Help Centre at https://www.slash.com/help-center or the in-app support chat in the Slash dashboard. Slash also publishes support@slash.com for customer support.

The Help Centre contains dedicated card guidance covering declines, cashback, spending controls, credit limits, refunds, virtual cards and physical-card activation. Slash states that support is available 24/7 through its official channels.

For a specific card transaction, keep the merchant, amount, date and decline or error information available. Never provide account credentials or authentication codes to someone contacting you unexpectedly.
